Puppet stands to buy?

Can you buy puppet stands somewhere, or something close to resemle a puppet stand?

All you need to do is get a dowel at a craft store, or a place like Home Depot, and a piece if thick plywood 9or something similar. With a nail put a hole in the wood plank, remove the nail, then take a screw put it in the hole you made and screw it into the plank, and then into the dowel! I hope that makes sence!

That, or drill a hole thru the board, apply some wood glue and the dowel rod and BAM!
