I don't know if there are any big Star Wars fans here (personally my love of the universe far far away is certainly on a level with my love of the Muppets!)...
Anyway the official Star Wars website has an exclusive webcam that keeps the fans that subscribe up to date on the development on Episode III... and recently our very own Kermit popped up in front of the webcam!!!
http://www.viewaskew.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/hyperspace.jpg
Now I don't know what Kermit was doing over at the post-production offices but it's undeniable he was there!!! Who knows maybe we'll be seeing Senator Kermit in this next movie (at first I thought Jedi Master Kermit but as most of them are set to be killed in the next movie... well lets not go there!!!)... or maybe he was just visiting his old friend Yoda!!!
Paul :)
P.S. The above was tongue in cheek - but Kermit was on the webcam!!!
Whatever

That would be cool... I think. On the fist hand, I would love to see Kermit (of course). On the other hand, he doesn't seem to fit in with Star Wars and if he clashed it or did something stupid could be embarassing to Muppet fans everywhere.

That doesn't look like any official Kermit puppets I've seen.

LOL! That's kinda funny. Yeah, he must've been paying Yoda a visit. :p

Hey, ET was in Episode I....
Seriously though, I think that this is the plush toy puppet Applause produced in the mid-90s

Yea...its definately not an official (and by that I mean a puppet created BY Henson) Kermit. Although, a Muppet senate box would be rather hilarious.
To quote a thing from one of the T/L volumes...
Animal: Yoda Jedi Master Yoda!

Yea...its definately not an official (and by that I mean a puppet created BY Henson) Kermit.
I don't really keep up with the Hyperspace Webcam but at the moment I believe it's in the post-production offices. And people often wave toys or drawings in front of the camera - so the Kermit is probably just someone's toy that sits on their desk and not an actual Kermit puppet.
But yeah a muppet senator box would be cool - they normally have three senators per box right??? So I'd go for Kermit (to represent classic Muppets), Big Bird (to represent Sesame Street) and Pepe (to represent the newer Muppets)!!!

It,s funny you should mention the idea of Kermit in a Star Wars movie, because it just so happens, that the other night I had a strange dream.I dreamed I was viewing a Star Wars movie that included Kermit and his muppet gang.

"Where are we Master Luke?"
"It seems we've landed on some strange variety show..."
Let's face it... it could happen.

Why not just go all out and have Kermit be a Jedi? lol
Master Frog, what do you think we should do about the separatists?
Ok, now that isn't going to happen -- but it would be the best thing in the entire prequel set if it did. :)

Actually, before Episode One came out, I used to joke that Yoda in the prequels would BE Kermit! I thought it would be awesome! Same size, same color, but Kermit would clearly look and sound a little younger, so the whole prequel thing would work out. Unfortunately, after George Lucas took out that restraining order on me, he just completely stopped listening to any of my ideas!
:D

Really? Given popular opinion, that's a bold claim...
I have to say, though, I like the guy too. Not my favorite SW character (too hard to choose, but probably Yoda), nor my favorite Ep 1 character (gotta go with Qui-Gon Jinn), but I've got a soft spot for him. I find it impossible to be negative about him because he's got such a good heart. He reminds me, in affect and personality, of people I know, which always helps too...

Actually, that wasn't quite true, C3P0 is my apsolute fav. , but I think that JaJa is my fav. in Ep1. And then Quigon, Padme, and Windu, oh an of course Yoda.

Binks is just Palpatine's little pawn anyway. I've always loved the duo of 3PO and R2... I was THRILLED to meet Anthony Daniels (the man inside the 3PO suit that also does the voice of him) at Celebration 1 back in 1999. Overall, though, it's hard for me to choose between Vader, Luke, R2, Obi-Wan, and Boba Fett as a fave character.

I thought it was sad to see Jar Jar so manipulated in Attack of the Clones. Poor guy was trying to do the right thing... Seems everybody is Palpatine's pawn...
Or is that "prawn"?

The entire Jedi order, especially Anakin, are his pawns. He is just setting them up to be the scapegoat for the war, which will lead to the purge in episode 3. As Sidious, he tests Anakin by sending threats at him, but as Palpy he builds his trust. Expect to see Assaj Ventress after Anakin tonight on 'Clone Wars'.

I've really been enjoying Clone Wars. I especially like how Palpatine was playing to Anakin's ego in the first episode, making him feel even more as though the Jedi don't trust him, but good ol' Uncle Palpy does! I'm disappointed that we'll have to wait until Spring to see the rest of the episodes!

I just saw the episode where Obi-Wan gets stuck inside Durge and then explodes out from him... gross!!!
I never really like Durge when he was first introduced in the Republic comic-book series and in his later appearance in the Boba Fett scholastic books... I think he's a bit un-Star Wars 'ish!!! And even though that last episode of the cartoon was cool I still don't like the character!!!

Actually Durge hates the Mandalorians with a passion so it's highly unlikely he's a Jango Fett wannabe!!!
Durge's backstory is that he's an almost unstoppable re-generative alien thingy inside that armor and about a hundred years before we meet him in the Clone Wars he was captured and tortured by the Mandalorians. It took him that hundred years to hibernate and recover but he returns to find that the Mandalorians have all but been wiped out.
Count Dooku gets Durge to fight for his cause be explaining that the Mandalorian heritage lives on in the Republic Clone Arms (who of course where cloned from the Mandalorian Jango Fett) and he can exact his revenge on them....
.... so as you see Durge does not want to be Jango Fett!!! ;)

Yeah, that was really something. Much like "Jem," I'd have to say that was "truly outrageous"!

Actually, I did like Jar Jar... but that's a different story.
I feel that the Clone wars animated series is much better than the actual movie... I hope Georgy can pull off ep 3...

Yes - according to the majority of the novels lightsabers cauterize the wounds they make. But I guess he's an alien thingy so it's different... !!! ;)

Durge would have been better as a human. I mean, why would a giant mutating blob that wears a helmet hate Mandalorians so much.
Let's indulge ourselves in the history of the Mandalorians, shall we?
First off, the Mandalorians were hired to fight AGAINST the Old Republic (by the ancient Sith, I believe). They were defeated by the Republic fleet led by Revan and Malak, which, in turn, became Sith. So who knows. I don't see why ol' Durge is fighting against the people that were technically on his side before he reawakened. Ok, I'll stop now... lol
